Hockey is a skill dependent sport. The best way to acquire skills like good skating technique, strong puck skills, and passing is through repetition and training. With the season now underway we wanted to provide a list of skills providers that LBYH endorses in the event that players and families are interested in additional training. The following skills/training sessions and their providers are separate from LBYH and questions should be directed to those providers.
Here is a list of local hockey skills providers (listed in alphabetical order) that LBYH endorses. We will continue to post additional skills and camps/clinics offerings as the season progresses.

Run by Lexington resident and USA Hockey Certified Level III Coach, Kevin Lane
The philosophy of Fusion Hockey is to refine and improve player fundamentals in the three S's, or skating, shooting and stick handling.
The game of hockey has changed dramatically over the past 20 years from a rugged, dump and chase style of play to a game dominated by speed, skill, and agility. Being able to make plays using high-end edge work, cuts, and stop and starts are all key factors to success in today's game.
While skating has always been, and always will be the central focus of the game, today, puck possession is equally important.
At Fusion Hockey we teach the necessary skills, ranging from stick handling, body positioning, and puck protection techniques, to improve puck possession skills

The Most On-Ice Instruction. The Best Results.
Using the CARTER Method, skaters build on each days' skills and are challenged to reach their full potential as the hockey camp progresses. We don't teach systems or plays at our hockey schools – we leave that to your team coaches. We teach fundamentals of skating, stick handling, and shooting, and we teach in a way that builds confidence and leads to continuous improvement. Simply put, at our hockey camps and hockey clinics we offer you the most on-ice instruction with the best results.
CONTROL AGILITY REFLEX TECHNIQUE EDGE: Our hockey camps educate all students on the importance of body control. We have designed a sequence of drills to help them understand and enhance body movements to improve their overall balance and body posture.
RETENTION: Individual Skill Development. All of Greg Carter's European Hockey School Training Camps work on total skill development through the use of European training equipment, including springboards, parallel bars, and carousels.
